About Us

 Roberto Pazos is the founder and curator of Filmed In Peru, a showcase of Peruvian films with editions in Miami and New York.  He also was the co-manager of the April 2024 OUTshine Film Festival in Miami and a current programmer for the Miami Film Festival.

 Roberto is the host and founder of Peruanos en el Mundo, a weekly travel show that has aired nationwide in the USA, Canada and Peru.  On the air since 2015, the program has traveled to more than 50 countries to highlight Peruvians overseas.  

In 1995, Roberto won the Grand Prix at the Port de Bouc International Youth Report Festival with is short film debut "Educadores de la Calle” (Street’s Educators.)  Since then he has produced two other short films and was a Peabody Award winner during his tenure at CNN.  He has also worked at both Univision and Telemundo networks.   He is a native of Peru and holds both a bachelors degree and a Masters of Business degree from Florida International University.

Steve Hunsicker is the Executive Producer and a programmer for Filmed in Peru.    He also was the co-manager of the April 2024 OUTshine Film Festival in Miami and a current programmer for the Miami Film Festival.

 Steve has been involved in producing and managing TV programs for most of his adult life.   As Executive News Director at WPEC (CBS), West Palm Beach and as News Director of WTVC (ABC) Chattanooga, Steve was responsible for all news and documentary programming.   He currently is the Executive Producer of Peruanos en el Mundo, a weekly travel show that has been on the air since 2015.  

Steve has produced three short films including two for the "LIllian Carter Awards" hosted by former President Jimmy Carter.   The third was a film on disabled veterans learning to SCUBA dive.

Steve is a licensed drone pilot, avid SCUBA diver  and holds a green belt in Lean Six Sigma.   He has a bachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism from West Virginia University.
